Gang, we have a limited number of Kill The Musicians Vol. 1 on black vinyl at our store. This is the re-cut that went out as replacement copies to those who ordered the original pressing. We pressed a few more and they sound great. Better than they deserve to, TBH.
Reminder: we also have a small number of copies of Baby Fat Act 1 on vinyl and CD. This is one of those records people either love or hate, and naturally, if they hate it they have to tell the Internet. But - and I say this as respectfully as I know how - those people have their heads up their butts. Baby Fat is in my top five favorite Screeching Weasel albums. It contains some of the best songs I’ve ever written. Because it’s an opera, the roles are sung by different people (including yours truly). I’m fairly convinced that’s why the haters gotta hate on it. Proof being a significant number of songs on our last two albums were originally written for Baby Fat Act 2 (which never happened). And they eat those songs up with a big spoon. YMMV, as they say, but if you haven’t given this one a chance due to the Internet scribblings of the nattering nabobs of negativism, I urge you to reconsider. It’s easy enough to stream it for free before buying.
More news coming soon. Re-issues on the horizon, new merch, and some etc. Until then, enjoy what’s left of the summer.

My youngest is a high school freshman and absolutely adores the Tommy Swank character from Crow Black the Night- which lead to her and her friends discovering Baby Fat. And anticipating the next book. I have hope future generations will properly appreciate it (as I do). I’m still bummed Act 2 won’t happen; at least not as intended.
With regards to the apparent Baby Fat hate, I was going to be a lamebrain with, "Don't worry your pretty little head." Instead, I decided to look up my most-played SW songs, and, coincidentally, Poveretta is the top Baby Fat track at #10 out of everything SW. I own the digital copy but I'll pick up the CD. Thanks for the newsletter.
