We’re in the calm-before-the-storm stage of the new album. The songs are locked. My work is done for now. It’s left me a little out of sorts as I always get in between projects, sort of like Jonathan Shields in The Bad And The Beautiful, minus the cruel vitriol.
But of course there’s always plenty to do, and I’m rolling up the old shirtsleeves in preparation for bringing the Weasel documentary to completion. It’s a fairly Herculean task, as it were, but as far as I can tell we’re about a weekend of shooting away from being ready to edit this thing. When we’ll actually get to shoot is anybody’s guess, of course, what with the pandemic and all, but I figure we might as well be ready to roll when the green flag is finally waved.
Looks like all the SFOA vinyl is sold out, and that’s all she wrote, for now, anyway. Our signed Wiggle vinyl is sold out too, but we have red and yellow unsigned copies available as well as signed CDs. Plus, of course, an assortments of posters, patches and God knows what else, all at our Big Cartel store. And, of course, we have shirts, hoodies, kids and girls t’s and a lot of other stuff at our Store Frontier shop.
That’s all I’ve got for you this month. Enjoy spring, vaccinations and, with any luck, an end to the pandemic!
Cool to hear about the progress on the doc and new album. Ben, can you do another “Lyrics of the Month”? Any song would be appreciated, but I’d love to have the words for Never Been in Love, Back of Your Head, or Dead by Dawn.
Excited for the new album too 🥰
